Why test for Copper?
This test detects Copper (Cu+1 & Cu+2). Copper is not typically found in city tap water. The major source of Copper in drinking water is corrosion of household pipes, fixtures, and faucets. Blue-green stains on plumbing fixtures, sinks, and bath tubs may indicate Copper is present. If Copper is detected in older plumbing, a test for Lead should also be conducted. EPA limit for Copper is 1.3ppm.
