Pond and Aquarium

Is it time
to change your water?

We all know that keeping fish can be super tedious. But, when it comes to the water that they live in, then it's a serious matter. Keep your fish happy in their life-long environment and test your water regularly with our testing products!

Fresh, Brackish, and Salt Water Testing

One of the most important aspects of life is the environment in which it lives. Creating a thriving underwater ecosystem is no exception. It can sound complicated at times, but in reality it's quite simple. ITS makes it even simpler with our test strips and photometers. Using these strips and photometers will help you measure essential levels such as pH, alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. All you need to do is fill up the reservoir and test away!

Choosing The Correct Kit

Know Your Parameters

Knowing the correct parameters to test inside of your aquarium is important. They will vary from the type of water that is in your setup. These include saltwater, reef, freshwater, and planted or aqua-scaped tanks. However, all aquariums do need to be monitored for their pH and alkalinity.

A clownfish swimming

For saltwater aquatic life you'll want to measure ammonia, nitrate, alkalinity, and high level pH. You'll also need to consistently monitor the salinity of your water.

Coral reef

In reef aquariums, it is important to test for calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, phosphate, and nitrate.

Koi fish and African Cichlid swimming

For freshwater aquariums, measure ammonia, nitrate, alkalinity, and pH.

Freshwater plants

Ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, and pH are what you'll want to test for in a planted or aqua-scaped aquarium. The tank's alkalinity and pH determine the concentration of Co2.
