The dress and color matching

Posted by sales on Feb 26th 2015

The latest internet sensation involves the color of a woman’s dress and has sparked a debate about how humans see color. The badly exposed image has divided the World but Wired Magazine uses science to explain #TheDress

“People across social media have been arguing about whether a picture depicts a nice bodycon dress as blue with black lace fringe or white with gold lace fringe. It’s about primal biology and the way human eyes and brains have evolved to see color in a sunlit world. The point is, your brain tries to interpolate a kind of color context for the image, and then spits out an answer for the color of the dress. “

Because of the buzz, British clothing retailer Roman Originals sold all stock inventory of the dress and is planning on offering a gold and white version.

Our product color blocks match the reacted test strips very well because we understand the complexities of color matching. Color matching is an art, like matching the colors in a dress.
